This is a topic that always made to the Q&A session during MCC 2009 Workshop. In Johor Baharu, Penang and Kuala Terengganu. I mean, everybody is thinking what is the best idea to develop an application and some of them really had some great ideas to start.
The next Google? Or maybe the next Facebook? Wait, what about the next Microsoft? Ah… No, the next Nokia maybe. What? The next Chad Hurley? Or even Kevin Rose?
In Johor Baharu workshop, one of the speakers, Naim Jaafar of Sekolah Bakat, talked about “TALENT”. How to nurture your talent and produce something out of it. Identifying your natural talent is one thing, nurturing it and growing it is another.
Some people need to think to get their ideas. Some other people like to walk around the park and analyse the behaviour of the society before concluding on their ideas. And there are people who read books, watch tvs & surf the net to find ideas. For most people, ideas dont fall from the sky just like that. They need to do something to get ideas.
Looking at some special cases in the world, some people successfully nurtured their talents and become unique in what they do, and their talents leave a mark in the history of the world.
“It is a good idea to have an idea but it is a bad idea not to have any idea… at all”
